I work primarily in oil paint but enjoy working in as many media as I can (ink, charcoal, graphite, pastel, water based paints and printing media such as relief printing and silkscreen printing). I paint mainly figurative paintings from life and from other references including sketches and photographs. I enjoy working alla prima as well as a longer studio method.
I enjoy experimentation and mixing of media. Each medium has it's own strengths and each is more suited to producing a particular type of painting.
